How We Got Here
Obsidian Hive began in 2019 as a small consulting practice in Bangkok's Khlong Toei district. Our founders — a team of data scientists and business strategists — shared a common frustration: they had seen too many organizations invest in AI tools without a clear plan for how those tools would serve real business needs. They wanted to do things differently.
The name "Obsidian Hive" reflects two ideas that guide our work. Obsidian represents clarity and precision — cutting through noise to find what matters. The hive represents collaboration, the way interconnected minds produce something greater than any individual effort. Together, they capture our approach: clear-headed thinking, applied collaboratively.
Over the past several years, we've grown from a three-person operation into a team of consultants, engineers, and designers serving clients across Thailand and the broader ASEAN region. We've helped financial institutions build predictive models, supported healthcare providers in developing fair and transparent AI policies, and guided retail companies in designing conversational interfaces that genuinely help their customers.
